We have 5 key groups; red, yellow, blue, green and purple, with Key Workers who are responsible for children’s progress – observing, recording, planning, tracking and assessing.
Key workers are also there to provide support, encouragement, and most importantly, love. Each child joins a 'little family' and regularly meets to do activities, play games and have conversations together.
Key Workers are also curators. Each child has a Learning Journal, where photographs and observations are recorded. They are a lovely record of each child's adventures in learning. Parents can view these at any time and they are shared with the children on a regular basis.
Communication between Key Workers and families is very important. It helps the Key Worker to know the 'whole' child and facilitates the bond between them and the children. We are always available for a chat, both formal and informal.
